Enthralling study of a family- how they deal with LIFE

Terrific read, even though the beginning goes a bit slow. Watching the characters develop, blossom, respond to challenges- plus the historical angle of the last 30 years in America, add up to a fascinating examination of how one family functioned together. This is more of a real life romance. Not the starry kind of looking-across-the-room at each other and "falling" in love. This is how true love develops and how a husband and wife realize the importance of the other. This is a love story that focuses on how real life impacts love.
Read it and then get your hands on everything Morsi has written. Her delightful (and humorous) earlier books will keep you laughing, while looking at interesting heroines who are NOT beautiful on the outside, but find their beauty in other ways. Morsi is my favorite- and that is saying a lot, considering how many great romance writers there are!

Being a huge fan of Moresi, I was excited to read Suburban Renewal. Again, she has created a page turner until the end.
Suburban Renewal introduces you to Corrie and her husband Sam. After 25 years of marriage, we peek into their morning routine of coffee and reading the paper. Without waring, Corrie brings up the "D" word ~ divorce.
Like no other novel that I have had the pleasure of reading, Moresi takes us back 25 years prior to when the couple first meets and falls in love. We learn the struggles that Corrie & Sam have to deal with over the years which begin with teenage pregnancy. Corrie's mother does not approve of Sam and is ashamed of her careless daughter. Corrie and Sam choose to get married and have their daughter, Lauren. With little money, the couple moves into a garage apartment and try to make ends meet. Corrie's mother is trying to swallow the choices that she has made until she learns that Corrie is pregnant with her second child.
Suburban Renewal is filled with Corrie & Sam's struggles - from his father coming back into his life, raising teenagers, unemployment, AIDS and suicide.
One aspect of Moresi's writing that I love is that her stories are not happy from the beginning to the end. Meaning, they are true to life and the struggles that we endure on a daily basis. Sometimes we have a happy ending, sometimes not. But, it we have people in our lives to lend us love and support, that will help us to get through anything.

Inspiring and empowering

Once again, in her quiet, understated way, Pamela Morsi captures the essence of what makes a simple life worth living, and an everyday person -- extraordinary and worth knowing. Her characters do not save the world from super villains or dodge bullets; instead, they live our own lives. We recognize ourselves in them. We share their pain and their joys, and we feel that if they can do it, so can we.
Corrie had great plans at eighteen: college, a career. Then she became pregnant, and all that changed. Sam did not see this as a disaster. He was only too happy to propose. They started a life together.
A lot happens in twenty-five years: a child, then another one. A business, then another. Old friends, new friends. Death, new life, new generations. Urban sprawl, economic ups and downs. Everything impacts a family. Everything could destroy it, or strengthen it. Pam Morsi takes us along on Corrie and Sam's life journey, and we root and cry for them, because they could be us.
Pamela Morsi's latest novel couldn't be better titled. Without fanfare or grand parades, through trials and tragedies, her characters find the strength to renew themselves constantly. They face disaster and destruction, and renovate themselves and their environment without faltering. We close the book with a feeling of hope: we can have this too, because it's not something Sam and Corrie were given on a golden platter. They worked hard to earn what they achieved. Suburban Renewal is a story of success in everyday life.

Best step forward into the RE world!

As a newbie...I think this is my best step forward. I haven't finished the book completely. Am kinda like more than half way through it, but am so impressed that I felt the need to let you folks know what an amazing investment this has been. This book guides me to things that will help me understand and be prepared for the first few days/months and years while being established in the RE world. I don't want to give away the key points...but all I will say is that this is a MUST READ for newbie and aspiring RE agents. This is kind of like a training and one to one coaching session in itself. Thakyou for this Frank. A pleasant co-incidence is that even my RE pre-licensing course's instructors name was frank...and I am so glad I chose him over the rest of the schools.

Very Informative

I like this book because it answers questions that aren't normally included in your training and educational classes when you first enter the Affiliate Broker world! It was very concise, humorous and helpful. It helps you deal with the relatives who want you to waive your commission, the clients who want to haggle with you on your commission, what to expect as a newbie, some of the "darker" (a.k.a. "not so fun") aspects to expect and so much more. I would recommend this book to anyone who is new to the business.

The cellphone on the cover should have been a give away. Though only 12 years old, most of the content is as pertinent to today's real estate arena as a VHS player is to todays entertainment market. The book was published before social media, the recession, etc., etc..

If your instructor tells you to buy this book then you know why your instructor is teaching real estate and not practicing it.

LinkedIn has truly changed the game when it comes to researching a new job, expanding your network and developing a list of target companies you want to explore for job hunting or business prospecting. Rob Hellmann, one of NYC's great coaches, has given us a step by step, tip by tip, approach to making the most of the ever advancing LinkedIn. He has been on top of LinkedIn for several years - we loved his earlier books -- but this one is a giant step forward as LinkedIn continues to add features. Hellman introduces the reader to many of the nuances in making the most of advanced (AND tricky AND subtle AND brilliant) search functions. Its advanced search can make all the difference in conducting a thorough and successful search. But it could drive mere mortals crazy if you were to attempt to figure them out yourself. There are so many nuances so easily missed. He provides case studies and step by step click advice as you dig deeper in the database, illustrating precisely how his clients have used it successfully. Because Rob is both a career and executive coach, and runs his own business, he understands what you are looking for in your research. I predict you will keep this book by your side through your entire search process. Just don't give it away. Every time I read through it I learn something new -- all over again. I've been facilitating career coaching groups in New York City for over 20 years and I've recommended Robert Hellmann's book to countless clients, with great results. Hellmann demystifies LinkedIn, an essential tool these days for job seekers. His book is written clearly and with a "can do" atmosphere, making LinkedIn feel unintimidating. He lays out in great detail the steps involved in setting up a LinkedIn profile, and also goes into how to best use that profile, making this book a great source for both new LinkedIn users and more advanced ones. A few of my clients thought they already thoroughly understood LinkedIn, until they read this book and realized there were so many additional beneficial ways it could be used. Hellmann also writes about other social media, which is very useful. This book gets my highest recommendation.

If you like heart-warming reading I would suggest this book which is one of 47 in the Grace Chapel Inn Series.

The foundation is that of three sisters who, after the death of their father, turn the family Victorian into a bed and breakfast. Each story involves the guests who stay at the B&B and the sisters' lives in Acorn Hill.

Their father was the minister at Grace Chapel for many years until his death at 92. The sisters, having been raised in the church, have a strong faith that helps solve concerns the guests have and with their activities in the town and with the church.

I own the full series and just finished re-reading them for the third time.

The book sets out to teach tile basic biopharmaceutical concepts, mathematical models and clinical applications needed to determine values such as close, interval and steady-state concentration. It aims to provide the student or healthcare practitioner with the knowledge required to understand better this complicated yet vitally important subject.
����������� It is organized into 15 lessons (chapters), some relating to individual drugs such as aminoglycosides, vancomycin, theeophylline, phenytoin and digoxin and others are based on concepts such as two-compartment models, drug distribution and protein binding. Eleven of the lessons include practice quizzes designed to chart progress and four lessons are completely devoted to clinical cases. The first lessons include pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles, as well as an overview of biopharmaceutic principles. Each of these lessons begins with a list of educational objectives and concludes with a series of self -assessment review questions. About the Author

William J. Spruill, PharmD,FASHP, FCCP, is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and clinical pharmacist at St Mary's Health Care System Inc., Athens, Georgia. Dr. Spruill received his bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from the University of Georgia's College of Pharmacy and completed an American Society of Hospital Pharmacy accredited residency and doctor of pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He is a Fellow of both the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FASHP) and College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP). He teaches clinical pharmacokinetics at the University of Georgia and offers a 16-week online pharmacokinetics course in conjunction with ASHP and The University of Georgia’s Department of Continuing Education.

William E. Wade, PharmD, FASHP, FCCP
Dr. William E. Wade is Emeritus Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia. He received both his bachelor of science in pharmacy and doctor of pharmacy degrees from the University of Georgia's College of Pharmacy. Dr. Wade is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Prior to his retirement, he taught both didactic and experiential clinical pharmacokinetics for Georgia's Doctor of Pharmacy program. Dr. Wade has numerous publications in academic and professional journals.

Joseph T. DiPiro, PharmD
Dr. Joseph T. DiPiro is Executive Dean of the South Carolina College of Pharmacy, which is part of the University of South Carolina and the Medical University of South Carolina. He received his bacheklor of science in pharmacy from the University of Connecticut and doctor of pharmacy from the University of Kentucky. He served a residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and a fellowship in clinical Immunology at Johns Hopkins University. Before coming to South Carolina, Dr. DiPiro was a faculty member at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and the Medical College of Georgia for 24 years.

It works, but...

I am immensly happy that at last there is a working ancient greek dictionary, and by working I mean that it works as a main dictionary, which allows you to look up for words in a given text. It understands inflected forms, but it works in a bit different way than other dictionaries I use, it redirects you to one or more main forms, and then, if marked, they will send you to a given lemma. Actually I think it's a good thing, because it happens quite often in Greek that a given form can be a result of inflection of more than one word.
But there are few complaints:
First of all some derivative words are found in Liddle Scott only inside some bigger, more important lemmata, and this has not changed in this version, so these words are not "working" properly in this dictionary, for example ἀ������, but this is not a big issue if you are able to identify this "more important" lemma and find the given word by your own.
Secondly, and this is quite a big issue, the dictionary is formatted for modern greek only (grc), and so texts which are formatted only for ancient greek (ell) will not cooperate. I don't get the reason behind that, I want to believe that it's been overlooked by the creators and they will get it right as soon as possible so that all the ancient greek texts, and especially LXX that are available on the Amazon can be read with the help of this dict.. If this little issue is not fixed and if you can't change formatting of a book than this dictionary will not be very effective.
Because of the last issue I am givin 4, which would be otherwise 5.

Doesn't Work in Any of My Kindle Devices

Save your money. Big disappointment. Useless in my Kindle, in my IPad Kindle, in my Android Kindle. This should not be out there unless and until it is vastly improved and made accessible to the usual kindle devices.

Revisions have made this quite helpful after all

I was really hoping this would let me see the definitions of ancient Greek words in my digital ancient Greek texts in the same manner as the other Kindle dictionaries. It doesn't work that way at all and in fact one has to use beta code to access the Greek definitions in the lexicon.

After my deep initial disappointment I was contacted by the preparer of this resource and have installed an updated version that I now find works quite well To be sure, if one is seeking verbs by lemma, it is necessary to search the lexicon by beta code, but this is a much more helpful product than I had expected for use with ancient Greek texts, especially ones that I had myself prepared for reading on the Kindle.

About the Author
Rowland S. Miller is a Professor of Psychology at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He has been teaching a course in Close Relationships for over 25 years, and he won the 2008 Teaching Award from the International Association for Relationship Research (primarily as a result of this book). Insightful & Interesting

Generally, textbooks are dry affairs that one puts down once class is over. For Intimate Relationships, however, I found myself reading the material independent of class study; I honestly found it that interesting. The material is often directly applicable and you cannot help compare the research and examples to your own relationships.
