About the Author
Dave Canterbury is the co-owner and supervising instructor at the Pathfinder School in southeast Ohio (named by USA Today as one of the Top 12 Survival Schools in the United States), and the managing editor of Self Reliance Illustrated magazine. He is an army veteran, and currently a self-employed hunting guide and survival instructor. His work has also been published in New Pioneer and American Frontiersman.

A picture is worth a thousand words

I hate to bash this, but it's got one major shortcoming: lack of images. I'm going on February now and you'd get a page that talks about something technical like making feather sticks or how you remove bark from a tree. The description is only long enough to fit on a small calendar page, and I think adding a graphic on the page would make you probably keep the pages you pull off for later reference. Right now you read it, and if it doesn't make sense you have to look it up elsewhere.
It's nice in general, but the descriptions aren't very good and there are zero how-to images.

I was under the impression that this would be new information, my fault for not reading thoroughly. This is nice for review though and keeps you brushed up on knowledge with a little review everyday. You may also like this is you aren't into reading books, yet you like dave Canterbury or bush crafting and would still like the knowledge.
