Geri lives in beautiful New Brunswick, Canada. She is a military wife, the mother of two gorgeous, but slightly crazy little girls, and works full time as a support worker in an assisted living facility for seniors. Even with all of this, she still finds the time to be a voracious reader and most recently, a writer. Geri has been as avid reader for as long as she can remember. She can usually be found curled up in a comfy chair, reading on her iPad both day and night. Geri is an incurable night owl, and it's not uncommon for her to still be awake, reading at 4 am, just because she finds it hard to put the book down. Geri loves all genres of fiction, but her passion is anything romantic or terrifying; basically, anything that can get her heart pumping. Charlotte Daniels has a lot of responsibility in her twenty-six years. Raised by a single mom, Charlotte always tried to help while her older sister took the role of the wild child. Then in her teen years and her mom got sick she got a job to help with the bills and her sister still partied away. Through all this she finally graduated high school and received her nursing degree. Still helping her sister. Because of all the working and studying Charlotte's social skills and skills with interacting with men were lacking. People thought of her as sweet.
Ryker Cole was the VP of the Kings of Corruption. The MC was his life. With the way his life was he never got involved with women. The club women took care of his needs. He has had plenty of them.
When Ryker meets Charlotte he is struck by her beauty and all her curves but her sweetness and kindness he craved. He could not get this nurse out of his mind. When Charlotte first seen Ryker she was struck by his gorgeousness but to that dimple mostly. She knew they could never be. He was the type of guy she feared the most and the kind she was running from. Ryker new the kind civilian could never fit into his world.
Ryker and Charlotte was as close to a good match as night and day. Ryker's protective side came out full force for Charlotte. This made him enduring at times but his arrogance made me want to throw something at him. Charlotte was so inexperienced with life she just needed to let go and live. I guess what I'm saying is Geri Glenn can draw you into her characters and make you feel what they are feeling and that is a great talent. Good read. Can't wait until the next book.

Loved it.

I was so annoyed when this book didn't pop up on my list of stuff I bought to be reviewed. Sometimes that happens with books and I was actually looking forward to reviewing this book so I came back, searched it out and here I am. I've been wandering lost in the land of none of the authors I normally read have books coming out and I can't find any new books I'm interested in. This one popped up in one of my usual searches and I was like what the heck. Doesn't seem too bad.

It really wasn't bad at all. I really liked this book. I can't say that we have a strong alpha in this book but what we do have a guy that thinks probably a little too much for his own good. And we have a reasonably professional woman with crappy family.

What I like about the book is that she didn't have to give up her "civilian" life to be with the bad boy. So often in these books the entire life of the women becomes the club. They give up careers and jobs and whatever but that wasn't the theme in this book. She has her job and she pushes ahead with it regardless of the club. She has a life that doesn't revolve around the club.

He has his strong opinions and he shares them but he doesn't come off as highly offensive. He comes off as troubled and wounded but not offensive which I like.

Club business is really at a minimum in this book. You get to know some of the guys. You know a club exists and kind of what they are but this book isn't mired in the business of the club. Club politics comes into play because of the women. Not the woman becoming involved because of the club politics. That's a welcome change as well.

I also loved that this wasn't an instant love sort of book. It's a struggle and it comes and goes with hurt and angst. But it's nto one of those hop into bed on a drunken night and proclaim love for each other sorts of books.

I'm looking forward to future books. The preview of the next one already has me hooked in.

We've got a new MC author on the block!!! Geri Glenn gives us an enthralling story with a sexy alpha biker and a strong female lead.

Charlotte and her sister are running from a past in hopes that it never catches up with them. But you know what they say....the past never stays in the past. And when things become dangerous, Ryker is determined to be there to keep Charlotte safe. Ryker is a tough and alpha biker, but he also has a soft and sweet side. I love when author shows us two sides to a character. Ryker makes Charlotte nervous because she knows the last thing she needs is a biker on her her hands. But Ryker is the type that just takes what he wants. And what he wants is Charlotte.

What happens when danger arises? And what's more scary for Charlotte....her past colliding with the present or losing her heart to a certain biker?

If you're looking for a new MC romance to check out, then I recommend reading Ryker by Geri Glenn and getting to know all the Kings of Korruption boys

About the Author

Matt Weisfeld is an assistant professor at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) in Cleveland, Ohio. Matt is a member of the information technology faculty, teaching programming languages such as C++, Java, and C# .NET. Prior to joining Tri-C, Matt spent 20 years in the information technology industry gaining experience in software development, project management, business development, corporate training, and part-time teaching. Matt holds an M.S. in computer science and an MBA in project management. Besides the first edition of The Object-Oriented Thought Process, Matt has published two other computer books, and more than a dozen articles in magazines and journals such as Dr. Dobb's Journal, The C/C++ Users Journal, Software Development Magazine, Java Report, and the international journal Project Management. Matt has presented at conferences throughout the United States and Canada.

My honest review

Not a bad book on OOP concepts, especially for beginners.

If you have that mental block, ya know, where you just can't think in OOP then you might want to pick this book up. This book is a nice and easy read, also, it's a bit short so you could easily get through it in just a few nights. Although most of the code is in Java, this book doesn't require you to know Java in order to understand the concepts he presents.

Although this book is very short, there is a whole slew of duplicate information. I don't know how many times aggregation and composition are defined. In fact, there was one instance where I was reading a chapter and I thought for sure I already read that chapter previously; well, it just turned out that I was reading duplicate information. Also, while you are reading he introduces UML diagrams and as you come up on them he explains what they mean, then later on you find a whole chapter dedicated to UML diagrams that he has already explained before. He didn't introduce new UML concepts or anything, he just explained how each diagram works... just like he explained it when they were first introduced in previous chapters.

Even though this book has a truck load of duplicate information strung throughout, it's still a good read that will help certain concepts become clearer.

I finally get it!

This book is wonderful for someone is is thinking about OO. I code in PHP and have struggled through different coding books on how to implement OO in my designs. Those books showed me how, but never showed me the why. This is the first book that I've found that takes a step back and looks at OO for an abstract view that lets you better appreciate the practical view. For those starting in OO design, this book should be prerequisite reading before any specific lines of code are written. I would highly recommend this book. For the first time, I can say, "I get it."

If you've learned an OO language like Java or C#, forget this beginner's book.
Review:
The Object Oriented Thought Process is a beginner's book, and does not relate advanced concepts of OOP or in depth examples at all. Most of the book consists of a good explanation of the basic OO concepts you'll find in Java and C#. However, if you've already programmed in an OO language, you will already know 95% of the information presented here.
Weisfield's intention was to write a book for those who _haven't_ dived into an OO language, as he makes clear in the introduction. However, for some this book may appear to be a more advanced OO design book. It is _not_. For a more rigorous exploration of OO concepts, see Object Oriented Design in Java or Java Design.

It's okay

It wasn't as useful as I thought it would be and some of the information is a bit dated because I found some better information on the internet. If you know nothing about rebuilding a torqueflite, this book will work well but for someone who has a done a number of them, it wasn't what I expected.

A Must Have Book for 727 & 904 Torqueflite Information

If you are looking for information on how to get more performance from your Torqueflite transmission - this is the book. From maintenance and overhaul to modifications - it's all here. And while some of the processes explained (with great B/W pictures) are outside the scope of most - you will have a better knowledge-set to discuss your needs with your mechanic. I have an A-904 Torqueflite in my Barracuda, and there was plenty of information on this lightweight tranny.

Covers a lot of material, maybe too much

This book covers tons of material. It was part of 2 classes I took, and I've referred to it in several others. It has content on almost everything that will be covered in an undergraduate materials science program, then a little bit more. The amount of coverage it gives for each topic though varies quite a bit. I found its discussion on the various microstructures of steel very useful on multiple occasions. The section on fracture though left a little bit to be desired, the section discussing brittle fracture is only about half a page. It tries to condense what would probably be 3 or 4 whole chapters in a mechanical properties textbook (on fracture, fatigue, creep, impact testing, stress concentration) into a single 50 page chapter. Overall though, I found it to be a good intro textbook and a good reference for concepts.

This work has been a labour of love for its author who is the editor of the most important film magazine in Iran and a highly respected film historian. In addition, the author is a well known and published cartoonist. This book represents a unique collection of film posters collected over many years by the author. The most outstanding posters are those designed by the famed Iranian graphic artist Morteza Momayez. Though the book is pricey, there is no other book available on this subject and the quality of finishing is outstanding. An essential book for serious fans of the Iranian cinema.

The interesting part is when you do a "spell" it is not magic, but puting something out to the universe and doing something physical as you do it and when it is also written down it becomes much more powerful. I was able to get results within 2 weeks for the first one I did. It is also a letting go of something by doing a ritual. Very interesting and I have other things I will be working on. Very good book and would reccomend it to any one who wishes to change things in their lives.

Nicole A. Lazar is Professor of Statistics at the University of Georgia and affiliated faculty of the Center for Health Statistics, University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a prominent researcher in this area, a contributor to the FIASCO software for fMRI data analysis, and heads an fMRI statistics research group at the University of Georgia.
