About the Author
"Russ Hibbeler "graduated from the University of Illinois-Urbana with a B.S. in Civil Engineering (major in structures) and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering. He obtained his Ph.D. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Northwestern University. Hibbeler's professional experience includes postdoctoral work in reactor safety and analysis at Argonne National Laboratory, and structural work at Chicago Bridge and Iron, Sargent and Lundy, Tucson. He has practiced engineering in Ohio, New York, and Louisiana. He has taught at the University of Illinois-Urbana, Youngstown State University, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Union College. Hibbeler currently teaches at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.

Not a book, but a short article.

It took me less than 10 minutes to read this "book" from beginning to the end. The content of this "book", at very best, can pass as a short blog post.

While I agree with all the 7 ways the author lists, there is no elaboration, no full-length samples or even examples, and nothing concrete. The underlined word in the title, "immediately", is quite misleading.

At the end of this short article, the author encourages you to take his online course with 50% off its list price. Whether or not you take his class, it is quite clear that this "book" alone is woefully inadequate for increasing your wiring score, or your writing in general.

Allgemeines Ziel des Buches ist, den Roboter als kognitives Modell und damit als wissensbasierten Agenten zu konzeptionalisieren und dieses Agentenmodell durch rechnerbasierte Technologien in prozessualer und funktionaler Hinsicht zu einem kognitiven Robotersystem auszugestalten. Das Ziel eines solchen Ansatzes liegt in der Steigerung des systemischen Intelligenzquotienten (IQS) des Robotersystems.

Erreichbar wird dieses Ziel durch eine Konzeptionalisierung auf Basis einer Kognitionstheorie, der (Aus)implementierung dieser Modelle durch den Einsatz der Cognitive Computing Technologie unter Verwendung der Programmiersprache Java und der Validierung dieser Roboterl�sungen im Rahmen von Simulationen.

Das Buch wendet sich gleicherma�en an Studierende, Fachleute aller Fachrichtungen als auch den interessierten Leser. Matthias Haun ist als Business Developer, Solution Manager und Principal eines gro�en Beratungshauses f�r die Entwicklung sogenannter „kognitiven L�sungen“ (cognitive solutions) verantwortlich, bei denen es darum geht, Organisationen (St�dte, Kommunen, Industrie-unternehmen) als wissensbasierte bzw. kognitive Modelle zu konzeptionalisieren und diese Modelle mit kognitiven Systemen (kognitive Roboter, Pr�ventionssysteme etc.) „intelligent“ auszugestalten. Au�erdem leitet er ein interdisziplin�res Forschungsprogramm, in dessen Rahmen die zuk�nftigen Paradigmen und Technologien des Cognitive Computings durch die Orchestrierung „klassischer“ und neuer L�sungsans�tze konzeptionalisiert und durch Hard- und Softwarel�sungen realisiert werden. Zuvor zeichnete er sich in den letzten 25 Jahren f�r die Entwicklung zahlreicher intelligenter Pr�ventions-, Interventions- bzw. Plenty of details for fans of the sport

My expectations for this book were not too high given that an active football manager has a lot to lose by being too candid. Also, I was expecting the book to focus more on drama rather than details about training methods and tactics. But I was pleasantly surprised to see how forthcoming Pep has been about his relationship with the club management at Barcelona and Bayern, about his views on certain players (and vice versa), and his training routines and tactical approaches.

The book follows events chronologically, from Pep's signing with Bayern to the DFB Pokal final against Dortmund in May 2014. It gives a rather detailed account of how Pep wished to change the team and his general philosophy about football (developing a playing style to suit the players, his desire for his teams to control the game, his hatred of tiki-taka). There is also much discussion about the Bayern players (a lot about Lahm and H�jberg), other team staff and the Bayern club management. What the book touches only on the surface are some of the more gossip-worthy topics: Uli Hoene� and his tax problems, the deterioration in the relationship between Pep and Mandzukic, Kroos' contract talks. It also stops short of pointing out individual players who did not see eye-to-eye with Pep's tactics.

The big surprise for me was the level of tactical detail offered for each game (including the major Champions League games). There is also plenty of material on the introduction of new training methods and some on players' diets as well. The tactics are discussed to the point where an avid fan will be interested, and is not a coaching manual.

One thing to note is that the book portrays a highly positive image of Pep, which some might be put off by, but I find quite accurate based on my own fanatical following of Bayern's progress over the years. It also dispels a lot of the myths circulating in the media (Pep is turning Bayern into Barcelona, Heynckes was forced into retirement, Pep does not like Robben). I'm a Bayern fan, and a Pep fan now only by association (though I always respected him), but my own opinion of the man has certainly grown after reading this book.

To sum up, this book is a fascinating read. Bayern and Pep fans will certainly enjoy it, and there is plenty of material for any avid football fan.

This should be required reading for any business management college class or executive already in place. Having a philosophy, surrounding yourself with the right team of people, giving them the tools to succeed and then making it your number one job to support them is a recipe for success in almost any endeavor.
